Houseful Movie Review

Houseful Movie Review

Ever wondered what makes a film hit? We all have thought about it and there is really no simple answer but good content is definitely a good start. Sometimes it is just easy to find out what makes one a flop. These were my train of thoughts when I saw the new movie Houseful, a would be flop.

I think pretty much all the actors of this movie were taking lessons on overacting from Sajid. Akshay failed to deliver as a comic in this flick. Few absurd scenes like fighting with a monkey might have given a few laughs to 5 year old kids but I do not think they were Sajid's preferred audience. Ritesh as always was a side character trying to imitate Charlie Chaplin. Chunky Pandey might have been the best actor in this movie and that is only because his character was short lived. Had Chunky Pandey been on screen for longer time that might have been annoying too. So what made Sajid a success last time? Content! I guess the content this time proved to be a bad luck for Sajid himself.

My recommendation here for Sajid would be to concentrate more on the content. If the content is good enough movie-goers would not complain so much. Most of the reviews that have been written seem to talk about nice parts of the movie but unfortunately it is really difficult to find any appreciable aspect of the movie. Well maybe just that it was not 4 hours long. Hope to catch a better movie this Friday.

Oh by the way Sajid, Houseful has single letter "l".
